HaiDiLao Hot Pot

Started my morning with breakfast at Prata Wala @ Tampines Mall. Their roti prata was nice but the curry gravy is a little too salty.

 Teh Tarik...not bad
Roti Prata, one kosong and one with egg.

Then, we took a cab to Bedok North to look for this bakery shop to get the rainbow cake for the May babies, Susan and Jane.

So sweet...

From Bedok, we took a taxi to Hai Di Lao Huo Guo 海底捞火锅. According to their official website: Sichuan Hai Di Lao Catering Co., Ltd was founded in 1994. It serves mainly Sichuan style hotpot while mixing the pick of other style hot pot. It has the top priority of ensuring the customer satisfaction by providing the best service and best food. The company values innovation and encourages personalized service.

When we reached, the waitress directed us to a room full of strangers...worse part was she was holding onto our rainbow cake and almost bumped into her colleague. Sigh...

Finally, we were brought to our tables. While waiting for the rest to join us, I snapped some nonsense photos.

iPhone for ordering our food...so high-tech

Warm towel for us to clean up...
 Watermelon as snacks

Actually, I realised that their services level really not bad de. They passed us a warm towel to clean up before we started the hot pot. They also passed us a rubber band (to tie our hair), a zip lock bag (to protect our phone) and a cloth for cleaning for those who wear spectacles.

There is also a manicure and pedicure room for customers while waiting for their tables. So nice, isn't it?

We chose the chicken soup / tomato soup hot pot... I mixed the soup and its really AWESOME.
pork
fish
lettuce
watercress

They even have their speciality sauce mixed for us or you can mix the sauce yourself. But, we realised we had to pay for the sauce (feeling cheated). It was charged $4 per pax.

We also ordered their gongfu noodle whereby the guy would handmade the noodle in front of us, he flicked the noodle all over. I did not try the noodle as I did not like thick noodle.

When we were almost done with the food, its time for the rainbow cake!!! I wanted to try the rainbow cake long time liao but no chance to eat...finally, I got to try liao. I love the cake...it was soft and not dry and not too sweet either.

Ours is the 1kg de...we can't finish the whole cake

We even had a 12% discounts because they claimed that their aircon is not working. No wonder I was perspiring the moment I was seated. Haha...
