Taiwan Day 6 (18.12.14) - 十分放天灯/台北血拼

Breakfast was provided by the mingsu. Simple and nice,I love their plain porridge with pork floss.
Having breakfast at Jane Castle

Day view of Jane Castle

On our way to Taipei, we saw this patch of land with a lot of smiling sunflowers waving to us. So we had no choice but to take some pictures with them.

Us and the 'beautiful' sunflowers...🌻

The ugly truth of the beautiful scene...壮烈牺牲的sunflowers 🌻

Around noon, we reached

与十分瀑布无缘,只好在附近拍照留念咯!

We went for lunch nearby before proceeding to ShiFen for the sky lantern. (十分放天灯)

There were quite a few stalls selling the sky lanterns. We just stopped at the 1st stall that was nearest to us and we took the multi-coloured sky lantern. The staff then clipped our lantern on the stand so that we could write our wishes on it.

Red : Health
Blue : Career
Yellow : $$
Purple : Studies
Orange : Love & Marriage
Green : Prosperous
White : Future
Pink : Happiness
Peach Red : Popularity

We were ready and the staff helped us to take photo with the different sides of our sky lantern.

The lantern contained a small candle when lit by the staff, the heat caused the lantern to glow and rise...

Our lantern went up and up and up...

Hope all our wishes come true...

After that, we checked in to CityInn Hotel Plus XimenDing Station Branch. The Hotel room was sightly more spacious as compared to the previous time and there was even bathtub in the bathroom. Nice!

We start our shopping spree after we have loaded our lugguages in the Hotel. Our first stop is Shin Kong Mitsukoshi.
