Hong Kong 2014 Day 2

We started our Day 2 with having breakfast at Sham Shui Po (深水埗).

We had our breakfast @

Amy and I shared a bowl of porridge and a plate of steamed rice roll as these were only part 1 of our breakfast. The texture of the porridge was very smooth. The steamed rice roll was incredibly tasty and we were wondering what sauce did they put in until an aunty seated at our table said she did not want so much peanut sauce.

Our 2nd stop for breakfast was @

The stall was just located on the right side of the MTR exit. The uncle was super unfriendly and impatient. So we just ordered 2 砵仔糕. I didn't really like the taste of the 砵仔糕.

We really had a hard time looking for this 公和荳品廠.We keep walking round and round with the help of the google maps, then finally we found it.

Next, we took MTR from Sham Shui Po to Tsim Sha Tsui. Shopping Time!!!

We went there before 10am but most of the shop were not opened yet. 😠 So we decided to take our coffee break at Pacific Coffee, the only F&B shop that was open for business. To my surprise, their cappuccino was nice. We purposely chose the outdoor seats to enjoy the breeze. However, we left shortly after 2 ladies who were smoking and talking 心事 joined us at the outdoor area.

Bought 2 dozen of 紫花油; 1dozen for my friend and 1 dozen for my mum.

Amy was supposed to help her "future mother in law" to buy some nice clothing for her "boyfriend" @ Organic Baby, but the shop wasn't open for business when we finished our coffee. So we gave up on the waiting and proceed to our next destination, K11. There was nothing much for us in K11 mall. We saw Agnes B Café in the mall but we were too full to try it.

As we were way ahead of our itinerary, we decided to go back to the Hotel to put the 紫花油 before going for lunch. On the way back to Hotel, I bought a small cake to celebrate Ms Ting's birthday later in the afternoon.

Shortly after we reached our Hotel room, someone knocked on the door. It was the Hotel staff holding the birthday cake for Ms Ting. SURPRISED! Langham Place Hotel is awesome!!!

Soon, it was time for lunch again...we took the MTR to Central Station for our lunch. I also don't understand why we were always so hungry in Hong Kong. 😜

Lunchie @
龍記飯店
Address : 中環結志街5號地下
Opening Hours : 8.00am to 10.00pm

 Bought the famous 丝袜奶茶@ 蘭芳園

We went to experience the mid-levels escalator like running man.

We decided to move on to our next destination when we saw there was so maintenance job at the escalator. We didn't want to "ill-treat" our legs...
Nice and unique souvenirs sold here!!! We bought some olden times letterbox magnet to give away.

Our next destination was the Prada/Miu Miu Outlet.
2/F, Marina Square, East Commercial Block,
South Horizons, Aberdeen

We managed to flag a cab at the roadside easily, and lucky enough, the taxi uncle knew where we wanted to go and brought us there. I was surprised that the location of the outlet was like our Ang Mo Kio Central.

Amy had agreed to accompany me to the Prada Outlet with a condition de. i.e. I must buy something from the outlet. Unfortunately, there was no stock for the cardholder that my friend asked me to buy.
In the end, I bought myself a cardholder too, which is the only item that I could afford :p

Most of the customers left the outlet with big and small Prada Paperbags. heehee...

Time for Teabreak liao!!! We took a cab to the Starbuck with old Hong Kong Style theme. After alighting the cab, we still need to walk a short distance before we saw the Starbuck logo. The worse is we still need to climb a long flight of stairs.

This Starbuck served 砵仔糕 too, but we didn't have the chance to try as it was already sold out. heehee..no luck. We tried the butter bun. Nice food and ambience!!! One more interesting thing, if you want to use their washroom 🚺, you need to get the key from the counter because it will be locked at all times.

When we were about to leave the place, we realised there was actually a lift that we could use 😭, not necessary to climb the long staircase...hahaha...stupid us!!!

We followed the crowd of people to the MTR station to go back to our Hotel. By then, we were too tired to go anywhere for dinner. So we tabao from the restaurant near our Hotel.

After dinner, we started to pack up for our check-out tomorrow as we will be heading to Macau.

End of Day 2
