Penang - Day 1 - 17.07.2014

Took the 3pm plus Jetstar flight to Penang and we reached Penang before 5.00pm. The customs clearance was smooth and speedy as it was not crowded. (I guessed it's becos it is a Thursday)

The moment we came out of the arrival hall, we were "greeted" by our "driver" arranged by Four Points by Sheraton. He took us to buy our pre-paid sim cards. I remember it was on right corner when we walked out from the arrival hall. I think the prepaid card only cost us RM23 and it lasted us the 3 days at Penang.

Here we are at the Hotel. The accommodation is my advance birthday gift from Amy. Thank you, Amy!

By the time we checked in, we were hungry and we needed food. But it was too early to have dinner so we decided to visit one of the cafés that we wanted to visit. However, when we came down to the lobby, we realised that there was no taxi at the hotel and it was quite difficult to get taxi at the main road. Left with no choice, we get the transportation from the Hotel. One single trip cost us RM25 to get to Moustache Houze.

Immediately after Moustache Houze, we went to The Safe Room, which is a few shops away from Moustache Houze. As we were still very full, hence, we could only share the coconut ice-cream. Lucky we did not order one each.

The environment is cozy and the interior is uniquely designed. They even have a game station for customers to play games while waiting for their orders to be served. Nice!!!

But by the time, we left the place, the sky was dark and there was no taxi around for us to flag. The street was not brightly lit...stress...you know la...we 娘家婦女...

Managed to flag a cab after some time waiting at the road side, and it cost us RM20.00 to go Gurney Paragon. And it took us RM25.00 to go back to our Hotel. Transportation in Penang is not cheap de lor.

Hence, we decided to booked Martin for our Penang Tour the next day. He charged us RM45 per hour, we need to book him for minimum 4 hours. hmmm...must make full use him lor...hahaha...
