Road Trip to Melaka 28~300314 (Part 1)

This is the first time I went Melaka by car. Thanks to Mr Teh,the driver; Candy, the treasurer and Carol, the talking GPS.

We went off via Tuas checkpoint at 6.00pm after picking Carol from her workplace. There was a long jam at Tuas Checkpoint.

This boutique hotel is conveniently located, a few steps away from Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat). The staff are very welcoming and very helpful. The rooms are quite clean and beautifully decorated with different theme. However, there were mosquitoes flying around in our room. :(

Selfie before we went out for super.

After we checked-in and took some selfie, we went to look for supper. As it was already past midnight, hence most of the stalls were already closed. We just stopped at a stall along the roadside to grab food. I ate Maggie goreng for my supper. Yummy!!!

It was already 3.00am when we got onto the bed. Wow wow...I long time never sleep so early lor.

We met 9.00am the next day (29.03.14) for breakfast. The breakfast café was located across the street. The variety of the breakfast was different for the two days and was delicious. We had to restrict ourselves to one serving as we had to complete our long list of planned food.

Our next destination is to find the most famous chicken rice. However, we got distracted when we saw this "One Bite Durian puff" stall. We couldn't help ourselves but bought the minimum quantities to try.

 @ One Bite Durian Puff

One puff one bite...the durian melt inside the mouth...it was really yummy and we bought more in the evening.
The most famous 马六甲中华茶室(Kedai Kopi Chung Wah), see the long queue!!!

I find the chicken rice so-so only...how come so many people queuing for it. Anyway, after the chicken rice, we were really very full. So we went to the San Shu Gong (三叔公) to do some shopping. We bought their instant white coffee (三叔公老钱白咖啡炭烧) and teh tarik (三叔公老钱拉茶香滑即溶奶茶). I bought their durian jam too. But lucky ah, I was not the top spender at 三叔公. Who is the spender lei...

After shopping, we tried their famous Durian Chendol. We only bought one as we were still very full but we die die must try cos Melaka is famous for that.

After all the inputs and processing, my travelmates needed some output. So we went back to Hotel. heehee

Took some selfie when in the Hotel room.

The weather in Melaka is very hot, hence, whenever, we were back to the Hotel, we would took quite awhile to get back on the street again...heehee

@ the fountain near Casa de Rio Hotel...no money to stay there also must take picture.
Strolling at the riverside...then came the RAIN

We managed to find Pin Pin Hiong Restaurant (品品香餐室) for our lunch. Their mee sua is still as delicious as I ate few years ago. The waiting time was quite long as the "chef" cook a bowl at a time. Quality not Quantity. *Thumbs up*

*Burp Burp* Eat full full liao! We took a cab to Mahkota Parade. Shopping time!!!

Mahkota Parade is positioned as the premier shopping centre of Melaka. The centre serves as a one-stop destination centre, featuring a wide array of dining, fashion and entertainment offerings.

We spent quite some time at a souvenir shop. I bought myself a pen holder there.

Actually we came to this shopping mall for the cakes. It was located at the very right hand corner of the shopping mall. As there was a very long queue outside Nadeje and we were rushing to queue for our satay celup, so we decided we should take-away.

The cakes were really nice, not too sweet...no wonder so many people queuing for it.

Here's our dinner : Old Village Satay Celup...again, I find it so-so only. But there were a lot of people wor...

 one stick RM0.70...expensive hor...

After that, we walk back to Jonker Street to walk around. We custom-made some keychains for our colleauges and friends. Its was very crowded and I was sweating like mad. I was surprised that there were a lot of interesting things on the street.

Cai and her ice-cream egg.

We went back to the Hotel, took some selfie before we went ZZZzzzzz,,
