Potluck Luncheon @ Office

This is the first get-together lunch for the four of us in the Year 2014.

Eileen and Candy with their new hairdo ready for CNY
 me with my hair extension
CNY goodies at the pantry corner
Baked Beans with hotdogs prepared by Eileen
 Sotong Balls prepared by Ting
Healthy vegetables prepared by Mr & Mrs Teh
Chicken Wings prepared by my mum

 Our mini buffet
the E.T.C. (formed to take over S.H.E)

We actually took about half an hour to prepare and heat up the food for the luncheon. It was no joke! After heating up the 3rd dish, the first dish was cold already. Despite the troublesome process, we had a fun time "playing" with the microwave.

Bye Bye 2013, Welcoming 2014 Lunch @ The Marmalade Pantry

These pictures were taken before end of Year 2013. We went to have our advance New Year Lunch at The Marmalade Pantry @ ION.

The pricing wasn't cheap but its was quite crowded during lunch time. So it is still wiser to make reservation. The food was nice but I didn't quite like the smoothies that we ordered. I shall try their cappuccino for my next visit which is don't know when. hahaha

while waiting for the two busiest ladies
All smoothies : Berries, Mango Lassi, Hippy Shake and Sunshine
We didn't quite like the taste of the drinks...:p
Candy's choice : Calamari Nero Linguine
Eileen's choice : Oriental Grilled Salmon (the most expensive choice)
Ting's choice : The Marmalade Club Sandwiches (the value for money choice)
My choice : Seared Scallop & Prawn Spaghetti
The dessert was nice especially with the ice-cream

 Opss...where are my legs???

There was a nice lady who volunteered to help us take photo for us. So nice of her.

The Book Cafe

My "resolution" for Year 2014 is to try as many cafés as possible. I don't want to be boring Jacq anymore...hahaha

My first café for Year 2014 is THE BOOK CAFE.

As there was no direct buses or MRT to this place, we took a cab to Seng Kee Building. The café is just located near the main road. When we reached there, we were approached by the waitress, she told her there was no seats inside the café and we had to sit outside. Nevertheless, she told us if there were empty seats inside, she will shift us inside.

I just could not accept the fact that I was seated in a open-air café. I actually thought of leaving but Amy was fine with the place so I stayed on.

Lucky, the waitress kept her promise, we ended up seated at a very cozy sofa. Then problem came...too cozy = sleepy. hahaha

We noticed the staff there were friendly and helpful. They worked with passion. They were trying to shift their customers to the best cozy seats. The food there were nice too. I love their cappuccino, just that the cup was a little bit small. heehee...
